TRANSPORT OF FOOD AID IN SOUTH SUDAN
Client: Norwegian People's Aid Norwegian People's Aid
commissioned us to transport food aid from Lokichioggio into Sudan. During 1995 we re-wrote the rule book for transport in Sudan. Losses of up to 20% were to be expected before our introduction of serious off-road trucks. These losses were immediately reduced to below 1% and destinations that were hitherto regarded as impossible, received regular food supplies by truck. We have continued to work for NPA as their preferred transporter until now. We have moved over 40,000 tons of food aid for them to date.
